Site Superintendent

Construction Thermal Service is a construction company specializing in supplying, installing, and restoring Insulated Metal Panels (IMP) for various corporations from food industries to aerospace facilities. CTS has three divisions holding offices in Minnesota for our TCS Cold Storage division, in Florida as our CTS Aerospace division, and a location in Puerto Rico under our Caribbean Cold Storage Solutions division.

Superintendents receive expense-paid trips home every 3 weeks when they are mobilized on job sites after their 900-hour training period has been completed. The company pays for per diem, mobilization, and lodging. We offer competitive pay and our excellent benefits package that starts 90 days after the hire date.

We are currently looking for a skilled Construction Superintendent for our U.S. TCS Cold Storage and CTS Aerospace divisions to run our project on site. This position works directly with the company’s and customer’s Project Managers and oversees onsite administrative tasks and is required to attend regular internal and external meetings. Qualifications

  • A valid U.S. driver’s license is required.
  • Construction Background – Must include a previous or currently held position as a Foreman or Superintendent.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English. Bi-lingual communication skills are a plus.
  • Solid communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Excellent planning skills, including design execution, resource allocation, and contingencies.
  • The ability to delegate and prioritize tasks to ensure timely completion of project deadlines.
  • Effective leadership abilities such as motivation, goal setting, and conflict management/resolution.
  • Great problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • An understanding of OSHA/Safety & Health regulations and standards.
  • In-depth understanding of local, state, and federal construction regulations.
  • Ability to attend customer meetings and speak to customer in a professional manner.
  • OSHA 30 a plus.
  • No felony records over the last ten years.

Computer Knowledge

  • MS Suite - MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Adobe DC Pro.
  • AutoCAD (Preferred)
  • Navisworks (Preferred)
  • Revit (Preferred)

Understanding of construction equipment, including safe operating practices and ability to recognize maintenance issues of the following equipment:

  • Rough Terrain/Warehouse Forklift

  • Scaffolding Setup
  • Oktopus (Preferred)

Job Responsibilites

  • Collaborate with TCS customers, General Contractors, and Project Managers on project progress, requirements, delays, or any other critical issues.
  • Coordinate IMP, job material, and equipment deliveries with Project Managers and suppliers.
  • Account for all job materials delivered to the job site, including checking for accurate quality and type, and inspects material for damage.  
  • Report and schedule any equipment repair or maintenance.
  • Manage crews on the job site, including assigning work duties, handling scheduling, and allocating resources appropriately.
  • Monitor quality control regarding work being performed on the job site and ensure that it complies with current drawings and specifications.
  • Accurately record and submit for Time & Material work. This will account for additional materials, equipment, and labor required to complete the project.
  • Accurately record and submit all necessary reports and payroll to Project Managers and other office personnel. 
  • Make changes to project operations as necessary to best meet construction deadlines.
  • Conduct safety meetings and enforce our Health & Safety Program. This program must be adhered to by all TCS staff and subcontractors. 
  • Ensure all safety reports, audits, and inspections are completed and submitted to the Safety Director.
  • Train and properly equip new crew members on the job site.
  • Coordinate training and certification requirements with the Safety Director.
  • Complete punch list items and project closeout process.
  • Attend Customer Service job sit meeting.

Wage Range

$25.00 - $40.00 per hour
