Foreman or Lead Carpenter

Construction Thermal Service is a construction company specializing in supplying, installing, and restoring Insulated Metal Panels (IMP) for various corporations from food industries to aerospace facilities. CTS has three divisions holding offices in Minnesota for our TCS Cold Storage division, in Florida as our CTS Aerospace division, and a location in Puerto Rico under our Caribbean Cold Storage Solutions division.

We are currently looking for an adept Foreman or Lead Carpenter for our U.S. TCS Cold Storage and CTS Aerospace divisions to lead our crew onsite. This is a full-time position requiring extended domestic travel to mobilize on job sites throughout the U.S. If you’re a leader who loves to travel, submit your application to us!  

Qualifications

  • Construction background.  (Preferably in the IMP Industry)
  • Prior IMP Knowledge is a huge advantage.
  • Carpentry skills and experience using power tools.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • OSHA 30 Certification.
  • Must be able to follow instructions from the site’s Superintendent.
  • The ability to lead other crew members.
  • Safety Minded at all times.
  • Must have a willingness to travel.

Equipment Knowledge

An understanding of construction equipment, including safe operating practices and the ability to recognize maintenance issues of the following equipment:

  • Telescoping/Articulating Boom lift
  • Rough Terrain/Warehouse Forklift (Certification)
  • Aerial & Scissor Lift (Certification)
  • UTV
  • Scaffolding Set-ups
  • Oktopus (Preferred)

*CTS requires certifications on any equipment utilized on-site. The company will train and certify staff when necessary.

Job Responsibilites

  • Lead crew in the installation of insulated Metal Panels and trim on the buildings and facilities.
  • Keep the Superintendent informed of any issues with the installation process.
  • Repair, replace, or reskin any damage to insulated metal panels.
  • Unpack and check the quality and quantity of job materials.
  • Assists site’s Superintendent with paperwork and training.
  • Attend weekly safety meetings and complete any training necessary.
  • Follows, understands, and enforces all company safety & health program protocols.
  • Acts as a “competent person” for equipment safety protocols.
  • Clean up and maintain the job site.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Onsite 58 hours per week

Wage Range

$22.00 - $35.00 per hour
Depending on experience
